Calling all elementary academic content experts — we've got a role for you.

We're looking for an Academic Content Manager with a background as an elementary teacher, instructional coach, or curriculum specialist. You'll lead the development of engaging, family-friendly PreK-5 literacy and math content. You'll also partner with district customers on curriculum alignment and help build scalable systems for our content operations. This is a 12-month, full-time, remote role.

Families aren't just watching the calendar this fall. They're watching for signals. Is this school a partner, or just another place sending information?

Kate Pechacek, K12 strategic advisor and CEO of OpendoorsEd, dug into five ways schools can shape that answer in the first month:

1️⃣ Make the first interaction intentionally positive
2️⃣ Ask before you assume — families know things no data system can tell you
3️⃣ Sending information isn't the same as communicating
4️⃣ Establish partnership before you actually need it
5️⃣ Keep it consistent from the classroom to the district office

None of this is complicated. The hard part is doing it for every family, every time, at scale.
