The Family Acceptance Project is providing another online family support program for LGBTQ youth of color (ages 14-25) and their caregivers families who are struggling with their youth’s identity. Exciting that after two years of planning, we are preparing to launch the Family Acceptance Project’s (FAP) family support program for Lakota Two-Spirit and LGBTQ youth to help caregivers to decrease family rejection and increase family acceptance and support for their 2SLGBTQ children. We are launching our Lakota-FAP program - Tiwahe Tewichaglapi (the “family loves them” in Lakota) – on the Pine Ridge Reservation and in Rapid City, South Dakota with our community advisory board and facilitator training. Stay tuned for more news as we start to implement this exciting program!
