James Lick Middle School

Found my year book and grades transcript gotta show pics of these and my short hair with perm curls! I'm 14 here! I'm 54 now!

I hope everyone that went to this school or is working at this school has gotten the chance to get their vaccine shots I have gotten mine and have to go back on May 13th for second dose of Moderna!

Found a pic of my time at JLMS and it is cute! I was so young! I was 13 then turned 14 in December of 84 then graduated in June of 1985! I turned 50 in December of 2020! Time flies when you look back at you half a century of livin'!

It has been some 35 years since I graduated from this school and my nephew will graduate in June of 2022!

It's been almost 36 years since I graduated from JLMS and now my youngest nephew is in the 7th grade and is 12 years old! Next year I hope to actually go to his graduation ceremony. I remember we sang We are the World and Lean on Me as they were our songs!

Today I was looking at some of my school items and found my JLMS yearbook, diploma and the program. We graduated on a Tuesday@10AM in the school auditorium. I was 14 1/2 years old and wore a gray silk dress walking down the aisle! There were 200 students that graduated that day and it took a long time until the end of the program!

Just thinking about the past and going to this school came to mind! Found out that Carlos Santana went here and that this school is 85 years old! Had no idea it was this old, it was so different than going to private catholic schools. Tons more kids, bigger building, every class period had a different teacher and floor! I liked going to gym class in the upper yard then going to the 3rd floor for art class! Still remember the teachers and counselor I had. It was a very memorable year! I was happy!

I only went to Jame Lick Middle School for the 8th grade but I wish it had been for 6th and 7th! I loved going to this school! It was great having to eat warm, handmade food for breakfast and lunch!

I have created this page to get back in touch with classmates from this school because it will be 30 years since graduation in June of 2015. I was curious to see how many people I can connect with between now and 2015!!!! I found some keepsakes from my 8th grade year 84-85: my student picture, yearbook, report cards, and diploma!!!! Brought back memories of old times and good friends. Join me and we will relive the mid-eighties!!!
