Dear Saint Paul of the Shipwreck alumni, families, friends and Maltese community at large:
Last year, under the leadership and guidance of Honorary Consulate, Mr. Louis Vella, a committee was formed with the sole purpose of joining two historic and beautiful cities - San Francisco and Valletta as Sister Cities. The board members currently consist of 11 voluntary members who have been working on the forging of ties to establish friendships and promote cultural educational, cultural exchanges, projects and dynamic events between the twin sister cities.

St. Paul of the Shipwreck church in San Francisco and the one in Valletta have a unique bond and a special place in the hearts of many who have benefitted from these treasured institutions. The many similarities between the cities of San Francisco and the city of Valletta have inspired a group of us to embark on a journey that will ultimately make the two cities "Sister Cities".
The committee has been working diligently to strengthen the friendship, and promote bilateral exchanges involving arts, culture, education, community involvement, and other partnerships.
We cannot do it alone and we need your support and encouragement. On Saturday, March 25, 2023 we are organizing a special luncheon fundraiser. This special occasion will serve as a re-union of past alumni of St. Paul of the Shipwreck school as well as a special gathering for the Maltese American community. The event will take place at the Basque Cultural Center in South San Francisco. A large crowd is expected and space is limited to the first 300 guests. Please see details on the attached announcement.
