A wonderful component of a training I’m in is a suggested book and a movie each month that supports what we’re learning. This month’s little gem, The Straight Story, is one I’ve never heard of before and will surely never forget. Tenderness and meaning conveyed in that special David Lynch kind of way. ❤️

Fyi-
“Richard Farnsworth was terminally ill with bone cancer during the shooting of the film, which had caused the paralysis of his legs as shown in the film. He actually took the role out of admiration for Alvin Straight, and astonished his co-workers with his tenacity during production. Because of the pain of his disease, Farnsworth committed su***de the following year, at the age of 80.”

Today, my 53rd circle around the sun is compete!
🎈
And, as we know, when one circle ends another begins.
This feels calmly exciting to me.
🤩
Vitality is precious and I love caring about it.

Today is also the anniversary of my mom’s passing- it’s been 7 years. I always take time on this day to reflect on the wild alignment of her deathday on my birthday. Over the years it has inspired perspectives and contemplations that have been so meaningful to me. So, I consider it a sacred gift.

My heart simultaneously yearns for her and continues to grow because of her.
Thank you mama. The natural pep in my step is because of you.
I love you💖

“Authoritarianism tries to create a false sense of unity out of uniformity, whereas nonviolence, inherently person-centered, works on unity in diversity—a principle of biological life itself.”
