The SFUSD Enrollment Fair is coming up ten days. This is the one time a year when all SFUSD schools come together to represent their communities, and to meet prospective families.

Families who will apply for PK, elementary school, middle school, or high school for the 2027-28 school year can come to the fair to learn about the application process, meet school principals and other representatives, and access the resources provided by SFUSD, other city agencies, and community organizations.

California State PTA does not take ballot measure positions lightly. For each measure, a committee of CA PTA Board of Managers studies what it would do, who it would affect, and how it aligns with our mission and adopted positions; then the full board votes. The table below is only a summary. Please join us for a brief virtual 2nd District Special General Association Meeting on Friday, October 16, from 12:00–12:20 p.m. on Zoom.

Your participation is important as we vote on 2nd District PTA’s positions on four measures on the November 2026 San Francisco ballot. We need at least 25 different SF PTA/PTSA board officers or general members to join our meeting to meet our minimum quorum to vote on the proposition positions.

Business: Vote to adopt the 2nd District PTA Executive Board’s recommended positions on four San Francisco Propositions: C, D, H, and I. The recommendations are based on the 2nd District PTA Ballot Measure Study Group’s review of each measure and applicable PTA authorities.

This is a great chance to learn about measures affecting children, youth, families, and teachers/staff in this city. Your vote at our meeting will decide if 2D PTA can continue with our positions on these propositions and share them with all our PTA/PTSA units and their school communities ahead of the 11/3 Election Day.
