Have you ever wondered how skyscrapers are built? Or how playgrounds can be more inclusive? Or how Scottish castles have evolved over time?
These are a few of the questions AL3 students had that they spent Term 2 diving into! They emailed experts, conducted independent research, and created presentations on architecture topics that truly sparked their curiosity.
Term 2 wrapped up with our Learning Exhibition, where students presented their work to parents and classmates.
The result? Passionate, student-led presentations we’re so proud of. Take a look!

Culture, curiosity, and a little friendly competition 🌎🌁🏆
Can you identify the flag of Cambodia? That was the winning question in last night’s Geography Bee.
Yesterday, we hosted our 2nd Annual Worldly Wise Geography Bee and Festival! Before the Bee, our Worldly Wise Festival brought our community to life, celebrating the many cultures that make us who we are. Students traveled from booth to booth with their “passports,” learning new facts and sampling cuisine from countries around the globe.

Our Term 2 Deep Dive is in full swing! 🌱
This term, AL2 students are exploring the question: “How do we design a community garden?” As part of their field study, they’re visiting gardens across the city to learn from experts and gather inspiration.
Last week, they explored the San Francisco Botanical Garden in Golden Gate Park, and they visited the Florence Fang Community Farm to hear directly from the farmers there. They couldn’t have picked a more beautiful day to be outside! ☀️
By the end of this Deep Dive, students will design and build a community garden right here at school. Stay tuned! 🌿

At Red Bridge, students truly take learning into their own hands. ✨
When assigned a poster for Reading class, two AL2 students decided to take it a step further and build a detailed WWII cockpit model at home, complete with an oxygen mask.
We are endlessly impressed by their creativity, ambition, and independence. This is what joyful, student-driven learning looks like.

An ordinary lunch at Crane Cove Park turned extraordinary yesterday when our students ran into Mayor Daniel Lurie! It was an unforgettable civic moment as students shared their questions, laughter and high-fives with the mayor. Thanks for stopping by our neighborhood, Mr. Lurie!

Student-led. Real-world. Purposeful.
As a part of their study of World Language, our Middle Schoolers commit to a language for three years, then bring it to life beyond the classroom. 🌍 Mandarin learners recently planned and led a cultural immersion experience in San Francisco’s Chinatown for their peers, planning every detail from itinerary to interactions. 🚃
