With the overwhelming amount of Pride merchandise found in stores this month it is important to remember what companies present an LGBTQ+ friendly front but simultaneously donate to anti-LGBTQ+ organizations and lawmakers.

A note from Q: Social Media Manager for CREGS
As the Transgender day of Remembrance approaches tomorrow 11/20/20 I am struck by the maddening, saddening fact that 2020 has been the deadliest year to date for Trans folks in the US. I have always struggled with the meaning of this day, in part because it happens to fall on my birthday, bringing Scorpio season to a close. The zodiac sign of Scorpio is all wrapped up in death. It urges us to explore our depths, and to rise from our own darkness transformed and I think it is so fitting that this day of grieving falls within this season. The very plain truth is that Trans people have *always* been here. What is new is the ruthless persecution of people for being who they are. For showing up in their full glory. As this day approaches I am considering how to further divest myself from a culture that is so deadly to certain bodies while it celebrates others. I am considering how to hold myself accountable to slowly dismantling these structures one interaction at a time. I am grieving those lost, and I am also using my grief to transform, to create, and to share, in a way that absolutely tears the gender binary apart. Sending all of my love to all of our beloved Trancestors, gone too soon, guiding us to revolution.🖤

Check out this excerpt from this interesting article from the Washington Post on the way that people are navigating conversations about s*x during COVID-19.
"Anna Muldoon, a former government science policy adviser — and now a PhD candidate at Arizona State University researching the relationship between disease outbreaks and social crises — sees this moment as a chance for more careful thought before getting physical. “It makes people think through that one-night stand before they do it,” Muldoon says, adding that conversations about social distancing and potential exposure to covid-19 are “expansions of the conversations one would hope people would have with each other before sleeping together.” She hopes these frank talks will make it easier to talk about consent, s*xually transmitted infections and s*xual preferences."
