ICA Cristo Rey Academy The school was rebranded in 2017 to embrace its membership in the network while honoring the original identity as an academy.

A Dominican Catholic college preparatory high school in the heart of San Francisco’s Mission District that transforms girls into confident young women empowered to realize their full potential; intellectually, professionally, and spiritually. Founded as Immaculate Conception Academy in 1883, as an all-girls Catholic high school, the school has shared a rich history with San Francisco and its surrounding bay area. In 2009 the school, sponsored by the Mission San Jose Dominicans joined the Cristo Rey Network, to further the vision of its foundress, Mother Maria Pia Backes. ICA Cristo Rey Academy offers a Catholic college preparatory education while providing a unique work experience to cultivate women of study, prayer, community, and service who will engage in the formation of a prosperous world.

Join us in congratulating Tatiana '27 on her incredible appointment by Mayor Lurie to serve as a San Francisco Youth Commissioner! 🌟

We are incredibly proud of this Spartan success moment. Tatiana is excited to represent the ICA community and amplify student voices, sharing: "I want students to know they can share their concerns to a fellow Spartan, who can bring it up to the Mayor."

We can't wait to see the impact she makes! 💙
