th year as a cosmetologist, I aimed for 40 years in the salon before transitioning to a life coach and continuing education facilitator. As a stylist, I played a "therapist" role, and after taking a heart-centered coaching course, I knew I had something special. Living in San Francisco, I've found a salon to work in two days a week while offering coaching and facilitating workshops – the best of both worlds & a return to my first love. As a hairstylist for over four decades turned life coach, Karen has spent her career being a mother figure, big sister, and trusted guide to many young women & young men, as well as seasoned women (who are vibrant and full of life, not ready to retire from life.) who want to remain relevant as they pass on the wisdom they’ve acquired. Relocating from California to Texas in 2006 and returning in 2023, Karen possesses a deep understanding of regional nuances in hair care and styling. Her passion lies in enhancing the natural beauty of each client while providing personalized styling for diverse hair types and textures. Beyond technical expertise, Karen's innate ability to connect with clients on a personal level sets her apart. Her career has allowed her to cultivate a diverse clientele, nurturing her creativity and honing various skills. From blow-styles to textured styling, color to loc grooming Karen offers various services, including Hairapy Sessions – an innovative add-on for a therapeutic discussion during hair styling.
