!!!VIDEOS WANTED!!! Cash Prizes for best videos!

You sailed it. You nailed it, failed it, crashed it, hot dogged it or mowed the lawn!!!
Hopefully somebody filmed it.

This is our annual end-of-season gathering celebrating another year of extreme windsports on the Bay—and get your footage on the big screen! Windsurfing, kiting, winging, para-winging, DW sup foiling, surfing, kayaking, swimming for your life -- whatever, as long as it's wind/water related and entertaining!
We’re looking for huge days, ridiculous days, beautiful days, bad decisions, great saves, spectacular crashes, personal missions, adventure on the Bay and coast or elsewhere.
We want two kinds of submissions:

Short Narratives — roughly 6–10 minutes
A video that tells us a story. Anything that has a beginning, middle and end—or at least deserves more than a couple minutes on screen. Longer pieces are welcome when the story justifies it.

Short Clips: Cool and Funny — roughly 2–4 minutes or less
No narrative required. Anything that makes you say “you have to see this.”

Don't worry about making it perfect. It’s more about the moment than the production value. Raw footage is fine. Phone footage is fine. GoPro footage is fine. Old-school footage is fine.
PRIZES FOR BEST VIDEOS
FOOTAGE DEADLINE: OCTOBER 21

Season’s changing fast, and KCBS mentioned a rescue for three kiters yesterday — one picked up, one swam in, one refused help. Quick reminder for everyone: when rescue shows up, they have to stay on scene until every rider is safely on shore, even if you’re “fine.” That’s why they had to stand by the whole time while the swimmer made it in.

Winter wind shuts off fast, with almost no warning — one minute powered, next minute you’re sitting in a dead zone wondering what happened. Cold water + surprise lulls = hypothermia risk, not hero time.

If the Coast Guard or fireboat is next to you, just take the ride. It’s not about ego — it’s about clearing the call so they can get back to real emergencies.

SFBA has a great winter safety refresher:
