Dear Staff and Students,
We are writing to inform you that our patient management system, axiUm, and several other applications are currently down due to an unexpected major global IT outage (see note below). We understand that this may cause inconvenience, and we sincerely apologize for any disruption this may cause to your day.
Our IT team is working diligently to resolve this issue and restore the system as quickly as possible. We are doing everything possible to get axiUm and the computers up and running again.
We appreciate your patience and understanding during this time. We will update you on the progress and notify you when the system is back online.
Note: There was a major global IT outage that disrupted industries across the world, including airlines, banks, shops, and broadcasters1. Major U.S. airlines grounded flights, and there were global delays. The problem was caused by a “defect found in a single content update for Windows” from the cybersecurity company CrowdStrike.
I appreciate your cooperation. I will keep you updated.
