🌱 SFSU students: get paid $3,000 to do work you care about! 🌱

Climate HQ at San Francisco State University is now accepting applications for our Spring 2027 Climate Justice Internship Program, and the deadline is THIS THURSDAY, Oct 1.

Interns are matched with a partner organization to work on a real climate justice project, about 10 hours a week from January to May 2027 (150 hours total). Past and current partners include PODER, Movement Generation/Frontline Catalysts, UC Cooperative Extension, People's Solar Energy Fund, and the Goldman Environmental Prize.

✅ Open to SFSU undergrads in ANY major who will be full-time in Spring 2027
✅ $3,000 stipend
✅ Hands-on experience with organizations on the front lines

📖 Join us for a powerful conversation with Beth Howard, author of Song for a Hard-Hit People: A Memoir of Antiracist Solidarity From a Coal Miner's Daughter.

Growing up in rural Eastern Kentucky, Howard has spent two decades organizing for racial and economic justice across the American South. As Cultural Strategist for Showing Up for Racial Justice (SURJ), she brings a rare, grounded perspective on solidarity across race and class lines.

SFSU Climate HQ and Literacy for Environmental Justice are teaming up to offer TWO Climate Action Fellowships for the 2026-2027 school year, and we want YOU (or someone you know) to apply!
As a fellow, you'll get hands-on experience:
🌿 Helping restore native plants at LEJ's nursery
🎒 Introducing community college students to the wonders of SF Bay
🚣 Creating virtual field trips and story maps for Heron's Head Park and Bay kayaking
🦪 Connecting folks with our oyster restoration work
💰 $10,000 stipend
📅 Deadline: September 4, 2026
✅ Open to full-time undergrad and grad students for Fall 2026 & Spring 2027
All you need is curiosity, reliability, and a genuine love for climate solutions. Reliable transportation to Heron's Head Park and the Bayview nursery is a must.

Join Climate HQ x CFA-SFSU this Thursday, April 23rd in Malcolm X Plaza (11am–2pm) for Labor! Climate! Action! — a gathering exploring the intersections of ecological crisis, climate change, and working class solidarity.

The Poster Syndicate will be live screen-printing art you can take home. Come out, connect, and take action!
