This Monday, we held the Asian Americans in Community event in collaboration with the Intercultural Center, and it was so much fun! We had valuable reflections and discussions about our thoughts on being Asian American in this moment and how we can better support each other, and created new friendships and connections. Thank you to the AAPI Leadership fellows for facilitating, the Intercultural Center for lending their space for the event, the AAPI Center’s interns and faculty for planning the event, and everyone who showed up and made the event possible! Please come to our next event, the AAPI Month in Bloom picnic on May 2nd.

The AAPI Center is proud to celebrate Taylor Aguon, our Pasifika Student Ambassador, on receiving the Spring 2026 Chihara Award from USF’s Biology Department.

Taylor has been with the AAPI Center since its beginning and we couldn’t imagine our program without her!

We are thrilled to celebrate this achievement with Taylor and to cheer on her continuing scholarship and commitment to her field. Congratulations!
