Attention incoming Claire Lilienthal families!

It is with a heavy heart that we have decided to cancel the in-person Howlin Moon race on October 24 and go virtual again this year.

The weather forecast is saying 100% rain for Sunday October 24th, and we realize that it will be extremely miserable for everyone involved if we do not cancel the race that day.

The good news is that we decided NOT to cancel entirely! We have the medals, the ribbons, the t-shirts, the bagel and coffee donations all lined up! So instead, we'll turn the race VIRTUAL. This means you run on your own time up until November 14th 2021.

An award ceremony will be organized in late November/early December where we can still all gather and share our race day experiences, eat bagels and drink coffee.

Take photos and email them to us!

To be eligible for a medal you must record and submit your time via the runkeeper app. You should have received an email with instructions.

Happy Friday! Just a reminder, there will be no school on Monday, October 11 in observance of Indigenous Peoples' Day.

Happy Fleet Week everyone! We are in need of volunteers to help out this weekend for the school Fleet Week Parking Lot fundraiser! It's an easy and fun way to help the school and this typically brings in a good chunk of change for the PTA. We need volunteers to help manage cars in/out during the day, while the visitors self-park (but we need to guide them to the spots.) We have some busy periods, but some mellow time in between with a good view of the air show (plus easy parking!!) Please consider signing up for a shift! Calling all Claire students! The San Francisco Public Library is giving away FREE, brand new books to all SFUSD students!! Just visit your nearest branch to get yours! (Pictured below are the stacks for Kinder through 2nd and 3rd through 5th.)
