Baby Steps Family Child Care

Dear ECE Community,

We are heartbroken to share the passing of our beloved Pat Sullivan — a fierce advocate for children, families, and the ECE workforce. Pat was a cherished educator, mentor, and community leader whose impact stretched far beyond the classroom.

She fought passionately for equity, especially for African American children, and worked tirelessly to uplift the professionals who care for them. Her wisdom, strength, and unwavering commitment inspired all who knew her.

Pat’s legacy lives on in the lives she touched and the lasting change she created in our field. She will be deeply missed.

We will share more soon about how we’ll honor her memory and continue her work.
