We are truly elated after last week's Art Show at American Conservatory Theater. Students showed off their visual and performing arts skills through BollyX Dance, original music with San Francisco Rock Project, music with Max, videos with 18 Reasons, San Francisco Recreation and Park Department and American Conservatory Theater, and much more! This show was made possible by our partnership with A.C.T. funded through the San Francisco Department of Children, Youth & Their Families Special shout out to London Breed 倫敦.布里德 and San Francisco Unified School District Superintendent Matt Wayne for their introductory remarks, Joaquín Torres, SFUSD Arts Department, Alida Fisher, SFUSD Board of Education Commissioner and our incredible student hosts Theo and Jacob!

Our site has been working for the past two years with SF Rec & Park around the design and signage of a new park that is being built next to us and The Arc SF. This new park will include age and disability friendly signage and equipment. We would like to have the park named after disabled advocate and leader in the disability field, Joanna Fraguli.

In the end, this sadly comes up to who gets the most votes and our community is not as large as others. While all name options put forward are great, we really want to show some disability representation in this public space to send a message to the community that SF cares about disability culture. Please take 30 seconds to fill out this survey and hopefully, vote for Joanna Fraguli. Please share far and wide and let’s get our FIRST park named after a member of the disability community in all of San Francisco!

Here is the to cast your vote:

The San Francisco Recreation and Parks Department in partnership with SOMA Community Organizations invites proposals from the community for the naming of a new park located within western SOMA at the intersection of 11th and Natoma Street. This initiative aims to involve the community in selecting a...
