I'm excited to announce the launch of my daydream, The Spoken Word ELT Institute, LLC.
The Spoken Word English Language Teaching (ELT) Institute advocates anti-racism, cultural representation, and inclusion in English language teaching methodologies and materials. The Institute aims to examine, illuminate, and dismantle linguistic stratification within ELT practices. Leveraging applied research, we develop the tools to create safe and inspired learning spaces for students and teachers.

Very grateful for my new community - Black English Language Professionals and Friends (BELPaF). We gathered at the TESOL International 2024 Conference in Tampa, Florida, and enjoyed a West African meal together. Such a brilliant, fun-loving, and welcoming group of language experts!
