🍦🎉 Our 4th graders celebrated a sweet achievement today!

Students earned Mitchell’s ice cream sundaes for mastering their multiplication tables — a well-deserved treat after all their hard work and dedication in math! 📚✨

We are so proud of their perseverance and growth in building strong foundational skills. Way to go, 4th grade! 💙

Yesterday, we proudly celebrated our T3 Academic Awards along with our Spirit of MDA Awards! 🎉📚✨

The Spirit of MDA Awards honor students who truly live out the values and characteristics of our MDA Creed each day — through kindness, leadership, respect, compassion, faith, and service to others.

We are so proud of all of our students for their hard work, growth, and commitment throughout the trimester. Congratulations to all of our award recipients for being shining examples of the Mission Dolores Academy community! 💙🐯

On May 15, as part of our “Principal for a Day” experience, Mr. Contreras stepped into the role of Principal at Mission Dolores Academy! 🎉

He spent the day fully immersed in school life—supervising K–2 lunch and recess, reading a story to Kindergarten students, meeting with members of the Leadership Team, and visiting classrooms to observe learning in action. He also took time to leave notes of encouragement and affirmation for teachers, and enjoyed a special lunch with a few student friends.

Our 6th graders had a blast bringing science to life during their end-of-year project on polymers by making slime! 🧪✨

Through this hands-on activity, students explored chemical reactions, experimented with ingredients, and created their own unique slime mixtures while learning about the science behind polymers. It was a fun, engaging, and memorable way to end the school year in science class!

A big congratulations to our new MDA Cub Scouts Pack 11, who proudly made their first presentation in front of the entire school community wearing their brand-new uniforms! 🐯⚜️

Students shared the exciting news that Cub Scout Pack 11 has officially launched at Mission Dolores Academy. Open to students from Kindergarten through 5th grade, the pack will offer fun activities such as hiking, camping, crafts, sports, games, and family events — all while helping students learn kindness, leadership, teamwork, and confidence.

We are so excited to see this new program growing at MDA!

Today at Mission Dolores Academy, we celebrated our AAPI Assembly and honored the rich cultures, traditions, histories, and contributions of Asian American and Pacific Islander communities. 🌏✨

On May 6, our school community gathered for Mass to celebrate the Feast Day of St. Joseph the Worker.

Our 5th and 6th grade students served as altar servers, lectors, choir members, gift bearers, and ushers, helping lead a beautiful and reverent celebration. Through the readings and homily, we reflected on the dignity of work, service, and dedication inspired by St. Joseph’s example.

It was a meaningful time of faith, unity, and community for all. ✨🙏

⚾️ Yesterday, our MDA 7th & 8th graders had an amazing time at the Giants Career Day Game!

Students explored the many careers behind the scenes of professional sports while enjoying a fun day at the ballpark cheering on the San Francisco Giants. From teamwork and leadership to discovering future career paths, it was an inspiring experience for all!

Mission Dolores Academy’s Pack 11 is officially underway! 🐯✨

We’re excited to share that our very first Cub Scout meeting was a huge success, with students and families coming together for an evening full of energy, learning, and community. From reciting the core principles of Scouting to creating their very first Cub Scout flag, our students jumped right in—and didn’t want the night to end!

A heartfelt thank you to everyone who helped make this possible. We look forward to seeing MDA Pack 11 grow and thrive through this meaningful program, building friendships and sharing exciting adventures together!
