We’re excited to announce that Play On Words Early Learning Center has re-opened in partnership with World Of Words Early Intervention Services! We are opening up enrollment for our child-parent classes to the community! Children under age 5 and their parents can participate in play-based learning activities in an inclusive environment. We have speech and occupational therapy for children age 5 and under in San Francisco! World Of Words (WOW) Early Intervention Services provides speech and occupational therapy at the Play On Words Early Learning Center (1151 Geneva Ave. -- corner of Geneva & Edinburgh). WOW provides services as a vendor for Golden Gate Regional Center (for children under age 3), as well as private pay therapy services (for children age 5 and under). Speech therapy is available in English and Spanish, and occupational therapy is available in English and Mandarin. Play on Words provides classes for children under age 5 (and their parents/caregivers) that are designed to help them learn through play. Classes consist of play-based learning activities, songs, arts & crafts and so much more! Your first class is free!

After your first class, you can decide whether or not to buy more classes. Classes are just $7 (or buy a package of 4 for $25 or 10 for $60), and you can choose classes based on your availability (once a week, twice a month, 3 days a week -- whatever works for you)!

We have morning classes on Monday, Wednesday, & Friday from 9:30-11:30am, on Tuesday & Thursday from 10:30am-12:30pm, and afternoon classes on Wednesday & Friday from 2:30-4:30pm. Plus, on Tuesdays we have bilingual Chinese circle time, on Fridays bilingual Spanish circle time, and in the afternoon classes, we have sensory activities during play time! Our child-parent classes start off with play time! Our teachers help guide the children & their parents in activities that help them learn through play. Children can develop language, social-emotional, motor, and cognitive skills through play.

Snack time! The kids enjoy fruit & water, while learning and/or practicing their language skills -- naming fruits, asking for more, etc.

Book time is a great way for parents to help their children learn new vocabulary, as well as gain fine motor skills.

Circle time consists of interactive songs, as well as story time. These activities can help children develop their social, peer interaction, motor, and language skills. The kids learn hand movements & vocabulary for different songs, and they love putting pictures up on the felt board & singing along!
