Hours of operation are Mon-Fri 7:30a-6:00p. A "First 5 SF Preschool For All" site since 2007. Chibi Chan Preschool offers a high quality, nurturing and stimulating environment for children ages 2 to 5 years old. The preschool is a developmentally appropriate program. Each classroom is age specific and implements age-appropriate activities, an enriched curriculum, and hands-on experiences throughou
t the day. The staff believe that each hands-on activity and/or experience helps to enhance the child's cognitive development, social-emotional development, as well as their fine and gross motor readiness skills. We recognize the uniqueness of each child, and are sensitive to his/her individual needs and those of the family. We strive on providing a supportive atmosphere in which each child can actively participate in a wide range of activities and experiences that nurture emerging capabilities of the young child. Chibi Chan also believes in creating an environment to foster independence by giving children opportunities to make decisions on their own. By focusing on Kindergarten readiness, we hope to provide each child as they leave our program, with a strong foundation for their future learning.
