Huge cheers for our very own kindergarten teacher, Ani, who officially walked the stage! 🎓✨

Ani earned her Master of Arts in Education and her California Multiple Subject Teaching Credential. It was a true AVS family affair—her co-teacher Chloe, Assistant Head of Lower School and mentor Sarah, and even a few of her students were there to cheer her on!

We are so proud of your dedication to your craft and our students, Ani. The future of our classrooms is bright with you in it! 🍎🌟

This morning, we had the incredible honor of welcoming our founding Head of School, Ed Walters, back to campus as part of our 15th anniversary celebration 🎉

Ed led a hands-on science experiment with our students, filling the room with curiosity, laughter, and a sense of discovery. Watching him engage so naturally with our learners was a powerful reminder of the spirit he helped build at AVS—one rooted in exploration, creativity, and meaningful connections.

The celebration continued throughout the day as our students fully embraced the joy of our 15th birthday! From designing their own buttons, to enjoying delicious snacks, to building creative towers, the campus was buzzing with energy, imagination, and fun. We even came together as an entire school to create a giant human “AVS”—a moment of unity and pride we won’t forget.

We’re excited to keep the celebration going tonight at our Alumni Event! Join us from 6:30–8:30 PM at the AVS Lower School campus to reconnect, reminisce, and celebrate 15 years of AVS together. We can’t wait to see our alumni community there!

We're BACK and ready for more! 🌸 Before we headed off for spring break, we had the most incredible Book Week! Students and teachers alike brought their favorite characters to life in the most creative costumes 📚✨, and we were so lucky to welcome guest authors Monica Wesolowska and Penny Warner, who inspired our readers and writers in the most meaningful ways. 🖊️

Our community also came together for a Bookmark Design Contest, a Book Swap, and a Community Drive — because great stories are meant to be shared! 📖💛 And our middle schoolers wrapped up an impressive deep dive into skeletal and anatomical studies. 🦴🔬

Rested, recharged, and ready to finish the year strong — let's do this! 💪

Our curious learners had the best surprise on Mini-Adventure Day, spotting their own school's question out in the wild: "How do you turn falling DOMINOES into LIGHT?" 💡

We think they might just know the answer. 😄

From the classroom to the field, our learners have been busy doing amazing things! 🌟 Whether we're exploring the world around us on field trips, making discoveries through hands-on science experiments, celebrating big and small learning milestones, or diving deep into lessons together, every moment is an opportunity to grow.
