Dear IR students,

The International Relations Student Association (IRSA) is a student-run organization dedicated to IR students by planning events, panels, workshops, discussions, and the IR graduation banquet.

As this academic year is coming to an end, we are seeking new members as well as officers to continue improving this great organization and supporting the IR students with activities and discussions that are held throughout the year.

If you are interested in joining IRSA, applying for an officer position, or just participating in our discussions about current international relations' trends as well as the preparation for this year's graduation banquet, which will be held on May 18th, from 6-9 PM in the Jack Adams hall, please join us in our meetings.

We meet weekly on Mondays, from 3-4pm, in the IR Student Lounge (HUM 200A), and would be happy to see you there!

If you have any questions or concerns, please email Shirin Jafari, IRSA's VP at [email protected], or Alex Copland, IRSA's president, at [email protected].

The Paradise Papers: Revelations Spring From Leaked Records Of World's Wealthy 11/07/2017

In today's news: the rich and poor have a lot more in common than one might think. Both groups HATE paying taxes; however, one group definitely doesn't HAVE to...

The "Paradise Papers" are a collection of over 13.4 MILLION records, which contain information about tax havens used by both elite individuals, and fortune 500 companies.

Companies like Apple, Walmart, Facebook, and sadly many, many more. Even the Queen of England (God bless her) was reported to have over 10 million pounds of her money stashed away in the Cayman Islands (and here we thought the English had a strong dislike of pirates).

We at IRSA strongly encourage reading up on this event, and other global news as it unfolds, as this is history in the making. We have provided links to sources we believe to be credible:
