My students and I are raising funds for a design build project - the outdoor design lab! They designed the space last spring, and they hope to build it this coming school year. Funds will cover the cost of all materials needed for the project, as well as a portion of our contractor’s time. My students will be building the project under guidance from professional builders and myself. Please consider making a donation if you can! We have a donor who will match the funds if we raise $20k. You can read more about the project in the link below. I have been planning this project for over a year, and we finally received approval from the San Francisco Unified School District! I’m super excited for my students to have this opportunity, but we need to raise the funds to make it happen! Thank you for considering!

The Ruth Asawa SOTA A+D 2022 Winter Showcase was fantastic! So proud of all the hard work my students have done this semester. The A+D Department at SOTA was honored to receive a Community Alliance Award on Thursday, December 8. It’s wonderful to see our hard work and dedication recognized.

Presented by the Center for Architecture + Design in collaboration with the American Institute of Architects/San Francisco (AIASF), the Community Alliance Awards honor the individuals, firms, and organizations whose overall work, leadership, and dedication shape the character and vibrancy of our communities and the future of our built environment.

Ruth Asawa School of The Arts, Architecture + Design Department, is the recipient of the The Sandra I.
