The Brief history of FRANKLIN EDUCATION
Franklin Language School was founded by Mao Yi Feng in 1994.
With a group of experienced local teachers and American, the center offered general group English classes at all levels, from beginner to advanced, plus Test Preparation Courses in TOEFL, IELTS, SAT and Cambridge exams. The center also customizes professional and academic English seminars and courses for diplomats, lawyers, law enforcement officers, engineers, business executives, architects, customs officers, etc.
In 1995, the center offered Spanish courses for immigrants in Argentina who need to improve their communication skills to achieve their goals: finding jobs, attending schools and colleges, improving their professional options. About 600 hundred students take regular Spanish courses every year.
In 1998, to help children of Chinese descent to better understand their heritage and appreciate their culture and to provide people of non-Chinese background with the opportunity to study the Chinese language and foster a deeper understanding of the Chinese culture, the center offered regular courses for children of Chinese descent as well as for non-Chinese background learners.
The center also collaborated with local private schools and has organized various courses in several schools. Those courses, such as Chinese Language course, writing technique courses, have helped improve the performance of schools' students in the Chinese language.
In 2003, to meet large needs of Chinese learning, a new division - “Franklin Chinese School” was established. It offers children of Chinese descent language classes from preschool – Grade 9 on every Saturday and also offers adult language class for student parents. About 300 hundred students study Chinese at the school every year.
Since 2003, Franklin Chinese School has grown from a humble beginning to a well-established brand name in the Chinese education society in Argentina, earning the trust of parents and students alike with its dedication.
In 2010, Franklin Learning Center was established in Miami, Florida to offer after school program, Chinese and Spanish course, Weekend Chinese and art class. It is the first center in the United States.
In January 2011, Franklin Education acquired assets of a local Kindergarten (preschool) Escuela Infantil “Nuevas Lunas” and converted it into the first Spanish-Chinese bilingual Kindergarten preschool in Argentina.
In 2013, Franklin Learning Center opened its second center in San Francisco, California. Franklin Learning Center gives students the support they need to excel. Our tutors help children reach their full potential in many specialized subjects, including foreign languages, math, art and music.
