Recording project captures the sounds of Point Reyes - Point Reyes Light A Pulitzer Prize-winning weekly covering West Marin, including the towns of Point Reyes Station, Inverness, Bolinas, Stinson Beach, Marshall, Nicasio, Lagunitas, Woodacre, San Geronimo, Forest Knolls, Olema, Dillon Beach and Tomales.

We were up at 3:30 this morning (yes AM) to record at Yuba Pass for our 38th NSS Workshop.

Wednesday evening, I'm giving a long version of my soundscape lecture/demonstration to the Pacific Northwest Section of the Audio Engineering Society. Virtual, with binaural sound (use headphones). Being for engineers, I'm going to be emphasizing the tech.

The Tech Talk will be the 4th of May 2024 in San Francisco

The annual Field Workshop will be June 21st - 23rd in Northern California at the San Francisco State Field Station.

We had a great weekend at the Workshop this year, super weather and a great group of audio amateurs, professionals and nature enthusiasts as well.

Our keynote speaker Cheryl Leonard talked about her process and work as a composer and performer that uses natural sounds in her work.

Mark Lipman presented his film Urban Owl.

We had great conversations and food thanks to the crew at the Field Campus.
