“ We mothers—we who tend the sacred veil between life and death— know how to harness our grief and rage and channel it into power. This is the time for that. This is the time for us to gather our people and work our alchemy—to channel it into collective, heart-centered action.
I want us to stretch our organizing muscles together.
I’m starting local. In collaboration with a fellow mother, Kelly, who runs Artillery AG & Ceramics, we are beginning with a family-friendly gathering this Sunday from 11-1pm. If you’re in the Bay Area, come join us. If you want to help, we could use your hands and heart. Just reach out. We’re running this event from our own pockets, so if you have means to help cover costs, that would also be hugely helpful.
If you’re not local to the Bay Area—I would love for you to gather your people and organize a sister event. I am happy to share tools and resources. If anyone wants to do to this, I can start a discord channel for resources sharing. Just email me your interest and I can add you.

Deep gratitude to the stewards of these lands, the Mono (Monache), Yokuts, Tübatulabal, Paiute, and Western Shoshone.

To remember their names and honor them. The Kaweah River , The Tokapah Falls.

Awed by the grandness, resiliency and sacredness they radiate.

The dualities of visiting a 3,000 year old relative.

There is beauty and there is sadness all at the same time.

How to honor these abuelos y abuelas?

How do the humans reverse the damage we have done?

How do we humans stop the damage from inflicting deeper on all these relatives?

How do we unite to take care of these relatives and beauties for our kids, our kids kids , and all future generations?
