Just started Lucy Jones’ new book Matrescence and it’s officially the earliest book rec (not quite through page 5 yet) I’ve ever given. 🔥

tl/dr: I’ve been largely silent on this topic in my “professional” spaces.
Privately, I have been sitting with Jewish, Arab, and many other clients in deep grief, fury, and fear over the ongoing atrocities in Israel/Palestine.

As many of you know, much of my work also involves being with brand new parents and their newborns in the days & weeks right after birth.

All of this, alongside the continuous cycle of answering my own children’s heartbreaking questions about what on earth is going on almost exclusively with more heartbreaking questions, compels me to share a bit of what I’ve been journaling/thinking/feeling as we all try to cope…
