Some news! Winnie has joined the Early Care & Education Consortium (ECEC), the nation’s leading alliance of childcare providers, state associations, and organizations working to strengthen early care and education.

Tech companies don’t usually have a seat at childcare policy discussions, but we’d like to think we’re not your average tech company. Every day we see millions of childcare searches, work with providers across the country, and have a unique view into how families actually navigate the system.

Today is an exciting day! After months of the team working on this behind the scenes, our CEO sat down with at to share a peek into Winnie’s future and what the future of childcare will look like with AI.

When we originally built Winnie 10 years ago, we built it because technology had not caught up to the expectations of millennial parents. Parents expected to be able to search on the internet to find childcare but daycares and preschools were for the most part offline.

Expectations have shifted once again, thanks to AI. Parents don’t want to filter through 350,000 childcare providers anymore. They want to describe what they need in natural language and have AI directly connect them with the real-world providers that best fit. That’s exactly what we’re building.
