Hello there,
How are you feeling today?

I have been a touch overwhelmed and very tender hearted, so I have struggled to find the exact, right words for this moment. As most of you know by now, I am moving back to the UK on May 1st. It is a really good thing. And it is a really hard thing. Both things are true. πŸ™πŸ»

I am leaving California, but the Virtual classes are coming with me. However, Sunday classes are on pause until sometime in May, so I can be fully present with my move. πŸ“¦

Since deciding to move last Summer, I have been a self proclaimed Victory Lap my life in the Bay! πŸ†

Wrapping things up here up in joy. Devouring the beauty of this place. Taking it all in. Touching everything like it was the last time. Honoring my life here by loving all the parts of it that I will miss terribly by immersing myself in them all. Feeling the absolute preciousness of time. ❀️

I could write volumes on all that I have to be grateful for here. The deep friendships. A sense of belonging. How I feel every single time I drive over the Golden Gate Bridge in either direction. So many wonderful students! Rainbow Grocery. West Marin hikes. The Precita Palace & The Cave with a View. Magical times spent on the Houseboats. Gazing out of my window and imagining the millions of different lives that live here. Really good Mexican food. All of it. ✨

Protests. Parties. Playa times. Pride! Dive bars. Date nights. Dancing. Loving. Crying. Falling to pieces & starting all over again many times over. It has all happened here. This has been an exceptional chapter. πŸ™πŸ»

So this move feels courageous. And I feel excited for what's next. I also feel extremely vulnerable around stepping into so many unknowns. I am used to having some sense of the rhythm of my days. Going home is a full circle moment, but it all feels new to me. I left the UK 35 years ago. But, I do trust that on the other side of this, I will be landing exactly where I need to be. With my family and with my beloved people there. β™₯️

Loving San Francisco harder than ever as I leave it is exactly the way it is supposed to be. I am grateful. πŸ™πŸ»

Hello there

How are you feeling today?

It truly felt like Spring had sprung in the Bay today. What a gorgeous day! Give thanks for the brighter days always. 🌷

As many of you now know this Spring holds many changes for me personally. I’m not quite ready to get into all the details, but I did want to reassure you that while much is shifting all around me, I will continue teaching virtual classes for sure. πŸ‘πŸ»

Saying that - I will be taking a couple of days off from teaching here and there in the coming months to tend to some important life details. βœ…

So, please pay close attention to the schedule posted in my newsletters to avoid disappointment down the road. πŸ™πŸ»

Consistency is key when it comes to your practice, so there is always the option of rolling out your mat, and practicing solo on your usual Yoga days. I know it’s not quite the same as being with your peeps, but exploring your practice without me laughing at my own jokes might make for a completely new experience. Plus - It’s good to try new things ;)

Oh and I have an invitation for you.
I am going to gather a posse for the No Kings March! on March 28th.
I’m planning to meet folks meet right outside the Ferry Building at 11:30am.
We will probably start Marching closer to noon as people will be arriving from all over.
Rain or shine - I’ll be there.
The March goes toward Civic Center.
I’d love to be with you on the streets. πŸ’ͺ🏻

Ok more from me soon.

This month we are donating to A World Without Exploitation. Link is in the bio πŸ‘†πŸ»

I love being with you.
In the Park, on the tiny screen, in your home, your office, or on Retreat.
I thank you with my whole heart for showing up exactly how you are.
I promise I’ll keep doing the same.

In love.
Me β™₯️

Hello there,

How are you feeling today?

I was all set to sit down with a cup of tea and post on Friday, but then I got pulled in a completely different direction. And I’m honestly so glad that I did. 🫢🏻

I took to the streets on Friday, and went to Ocean Beach on Saturday to exercise my right to peacefully protest. I think anyone who was present at Dolores Park on Friday noted the thousands of young people who showed up to exercise that same right - and they showed up prepared! With snacks, signs and a clear message that they stand tall with the people of Minnesota and F++K ICE! ✊🏻

Being around so many energized, well organized young people truly filled my heart with hope. It lifted me up out of the collapse that many of us have been feeling. πŸ₯Ή

It also felt good to be outside. To walk with friends and process all that is coming at us through our screens. To be together and share our thoughts. The weight of this world is way too much to hold on our own most of the time. We know this - I know this - but I still spend way too much time ruminating in the vacuum of my own company, scrolling on my phone, trying to make sense of it all. πŸ™πŸ»

So big up’s San Francisco!
Way to represent!
I feel inspired by you! πŸ‘ŠπŸ»

This month is a regular virtual class schedule from start to finish. πŸ§˜πŸΌβ€β™€οΈ

Sunday ~ Hatha Yoga Flow ~ 9am-10:30am
Sunday ~ Yoga Basics ~ 11am-Noon
Monday ~ Morning Yoga ~ 7am-8am
Tuesday - Yoga Basics ~ 10am-11am
Wednesday ~ Morning Yoga ~ 7am-8am

Please reach out for class links.
All classes are donation based. Suggested $10-$25. πŸ™πŸ»

So let’s keeping coming together.
To share the practice, all the love, and all the grief of these times. β™₯️

This month we will be donating to the Immigrant Law Center of Minnesota. ✊🏻

Another update from Newsletters past. πŸ•―οΈ

I taught from the UK over the Holidays while enjoying sweet time with friends and family. Thank you Zoom! ✨

And it’s been wonderful to be back here with you all in the Bay. 🫢🏻

Park classes have been truly wonderful. πŸ€ΈπŸ»β€β™€οΈ

Our class donations for January were sent to the Prison Yoga Project. Link is in the bio. 🧘🏻

Much love. Me. β™₯️

02/04/2026

Turns out Mailchimp and Instagram stopped talking to each other a while back. This means my newsletters have not been posting here and I just now realized! πŸ€¦β€β™€οΈ

So some of this is old news now, but I wanted to post some highlights of the past few months that were missed along the way.

From December - πŸŽ„

I mentioned in December’s newsletter that due to the boundless generosity of my dear friends and I got to visit Kauai for a whole week with my dear friend Rachel. It’s was truly a wonderful trip and already feels like a loooooog ass time ago. Thank you so much loves. It really was just like a dream. 🌴

I appreciate you always supporting and loving me as you do. And if you ever came back to class I promise I’d πŸ€πŸ˜‰

In that Newsletter I also acknowledged your generosity as a yoga community. Since our virtual classes began in 2020 we have collectively donated a little over a whopping $24,000! πŸ’°

Go team! ✊🏻

That’s $24,000 straight into the hands of organizations that fight for equality, justice and the liberation of all people. And $24,000 we didn’t spend on s**t we don’t need from Amazon or the likes. πŸ™ŒπŸ»

So big thanks you all! My gratitude for you is enormous. πŸ™πŸ»

Stay tuned for more recent updates!

11/04/2025

Happy Birthday to this magical creature! 🫢🏻

I am honored to share movement practices with you. πŸ™πŸ»

Also, Yoga in Park is always free on your Birthday. And you get to wear the special sparkle Birthday cap. I’m pretty sure it makes all of your Birthday wishes come true. ✨

Hello there,

How are you feeling today?

I am feeling grateful and grounded here in the UK. Deeply appreciating this precious time I have to spend with my family.

England is very beautiful at this time of year. I have been enjoying daily walks while catching up with old friends, and pointing my Merlin Bird ID app at anything that chirps!

The news feels like it has been particularly brutal lately. With so much injustice, unrest, and suffering in the world, I am seeking out connection to all things that feel even remotely sane to me. As well as savoring the joyful moments that occur by happenstance, or intention.

Please take very good care of yourself.

There is no Virtual class this Sunday - May 25th. Please also take a look at the upcoming schedule. June is a bit all over the place, as am I! Thank you to those of you who hung in through some technical glitches last week. I've made some adjustments so things will be much smoother now. I look forward to seeing your faces on the tiny screen very soon.

In love always,
Katy.

Hello there,

How are you feeling today?

I hope that you are well.

Holding steady as the world churns, turns, flips and flops. Coming back to yourself over, and over again. Finding ground and connection where you can. Allowing yourself to sink into the moments where the heartbreak of it all takes you. Celebrating the persistence of your own resilience. Allowing space for joy. ✨

Watching, creating, appreciating art. Dancing, walking, listening, being quiet, and using your voice. Seeking out inspiration. Participating. Protesting. Resting. Noticing your thoughts, and then setting them free. Moving. Breathing. Being outside. Loving your people. Warmly welcoming the transition from Spring to Summertime. ✨

And so it goes.
Round and around.
I hope that you are well.

"Keep some space in your heart for the unimaginable"

Yesterday I received a very heartening letter from one of the many organizations we donated to last year. As you know 10% of what you pay for my virtual classes is donated each month. ✊🏻

Thank you for showing up. I am so inspired by your continued generosity. πŸ™πŸ»
