As a former Kindergarten teacher, and now an independent educational consultant, I prepared some fun academic resources for my niece and her classmates to do during the teacher strike. Kinder families, these are for you!

When prepping resources for a client on the upcoming Winter Olympics in Milano/Cortina 🇮🇹 I scoured the internet to find kid-friendly resources on the Games and its sports and found very little of note 😐 so I made my own, and I’m sharing them with you!

It’s been a wacky and wild year of ups and downs … first, launching and building a business, starting to work with wonderful clients … then breaking my left wrist AND left leg at the same time, which meant taking time to rest and recover … and then to rebuild, getting back to my loyal clients, even if we moved from in-person to remote sessions for a little while, or even if I had to hobble into their houses with my cane for a few weeks … and now, beginning to work with brand new clients as the school year begins …

🇫🇷 C’était la rentrée lundi en France et j’ai vu de belles images des enfants de retour à l’école, en pleine découverte, en mettant la table à la cantine, une rituelle sacrée de la culture française …

Here in California, schools have already gotten back into the swing of things, and I like passing by parents on bikes dropping their kids off to school as I go to see my youngest students in the mornings …

I’m wishing my dear former colleagues and families in New York City a beautiful first day back to school today! What a magical moment, when everyone - kids, parents, teachers, administrators, and caregivers - all feel the butterflies in anticipation, only to create a community within a few short hours for the year to come 🥹❤️

🇺🇸 This book by — one of the many I found and loved in France this summer — is perfect for using humor to review color words and other familiar vocabulary in French: « find the one on each page that is not its usual color » ... like a blue banana 😆

🇫🇷 Ce livre de .nathan — un des nombreux que j’ai trouvés et adorés en France cet été - c’est parfait pour rigoler en révisant les mots des couleurs et d’autre vocabulaire familier : « trouver l’intrus sur chaque page qui n’est pas de sa vraie couleur » ... comme une banane bleue 🍌🔵
