Thank you to SF Black Firefighters Association, SF Rec & Park, Boys and Girls Club of San Francisco, Brittney Doyle & WiseHealth SF, Us4Us, Office of Economic and Workforce Development, Youth Community Developers, The Hosely Corporation, The City Eats, Bayview Church of Christ, and all of the elves who organized our stage! Today was magical!!

Today, we hosted the annual African-American Read-In at Dr. George Washington Carver Elementary School.

Members from our community visited classrooms and shared in a read-aloud with students. Our scholars were able to participate in rich conversations, and build a relationship with one of our many community stakeholders and supporters.

The Read-In is an important tradition at Carver, as well as all Bayview schools. It also serves as our official kick off to Black History Month!
