's Twins! Welcome to this sociable air sign! The Gemini constellation was cataloged by Ptolemy. Gemini represents the twins Castor and Pollux in Greek mythology, who have ties to Babylonian representations.

Preservation week starts on Sunday, but here’s an early kickoff from Sutro Library! We have over 11,000 British pamphlets dating from the late 1500s through the 1800s. Think modern blog posts, with subjects ranging from religion to politics to culture.

Through these records, we can reclaim their lost stories. Join Sutro Library staff as we delve into two of our archival collections and reconstruct the stories of two such American women, Addie Viola Smith and Sarah M. Thatcher, restoring their legacies and honoring their struggles and achievements.

March is and we're sharing one of the rare instances where we're actually a little happy to see a damaged book! "Who's Who among the Women of California" is clearly a well used, in demand book for our patrons. Luckily we have another copy ready to put into their waiting hands.
