Congratulations to Gator alumnus and acting great, Delroy Lindo (BFA '04), and the cast and crew of "Sinners. The film took home four this weekend including Best Actor, Best Original Screenplay, Best Original Score and Best Cinematography. When he visited students in 2025 he shared this wisdom about his time here, “[SFSU] worked with me so that I could do the classes, and I will always have a profound gratitude and appreciation for what State provided me." We are proud of our Black history at SFSU! We are home to the first College of Ethnic Studies, demanded by students on strike. Our alumni include former San Francisco Mayor Willie Brown, astronaut Yvonne Cagle and Professors Joseph White and Vincent Matthews.
