HIRING! Expressive Arts Therapist Positions in San Mateo ⭐
My name is Tonia, I am the owner of East Bay Art Therapy. We are a small Creative Arts Therapy group practice serving the greater SF Bay Area. I am currently hiring for two Expressive Arts Therapist roles that are both in San Mateo, CA facilitating groups with adolescents and adults in an inpatient psychiatric hospital setting. I have had numerous CIIS grads from the Drama Therapy department (they've been great!). One of these roles is for a full-time Music Therapist or an EXA that has experience and skills with music interventions specifically. The other role is an on-call/part time position (requiring weekend availability) for an EXA or any type of creative arts therapist. The on-call position would be a great supplement for someone with a private practice or agency job wanting some extra work!
Students graduating this summer can apply, but it is highly preferred that the candidate have a minimum of one year post masters clinical experience, due to the intensity of the setting. If a recent grad happened to have completed their practicum in an inpatient psych setting, I would absolutely consider them.
