SUTRO ELEMENTARY provides a strong academic program within a family-oriented atmosphere for our diverse student population.

Afterschool opportunities include homework club, piano, and choir classes.We promise our students an optimal learning environment that includes leadership opportunities, healthy community practices and a better understanding of the world around them. We have enthusiastic parents and family support. Using shared decision-making, our entire school community unites to provide an educational program committed to excellence emphasizing language arts, visual and performing arts, math, science, and technology. At our school, each and every student receives individual attention from a community of caring adults. We address not only academic, but also social and emotional needs. All community members—students, staff, parents, and volunteers—become part of a nurturing Sutro School family.
