"As part of its promotion of World Bicycle Day on June 3, the UN’s General Assembly — we’re talking the whole freakin’ UN! — handed Eckerson a “lifetime achievement” award for his 1,000-plus films advocating the car-free lifestyle from all over the world."
See article/link for a short video with Eckerson and for other bici news and the other notable folks contributing to the cause who were honored by the UN.

“I just know the benefits of cycling. The road that it’s taken me on, all the people I’ve met, all the miles I’ve traveled,” said Stamps, who launched the Berston Bicycle Club in 2012. “It’s a self-confidence builder, a self-esteem builder. It’s just so many benefits to it. I just could have never imagined prior to me getting on a bike that I would be here doing this.”

Good on Fuji Bikes. Now it's your turn, Trek Bicycle.
We just sent this letter to [email protected]. Feel free to modify and use it for yourself. Let's tell the bike industry that bikes aren't police weapons.
----------
Dear Mr. Burke,
As a cyclist and owner of a Trek bicycle, I was concerned to learn your bicycles are being used as weapons by police (please see article linked below). Please in good faith, immediately and publically halt these contracts as an act of solidarity in defense of black and brown lives, and broader public safety, as Fuji bicycles has done.
