Intergenerational art project fostering creativity, curiosity and conversation.

The award-winning City Studio program offers underserved youth high-quality arts education in their own neighborhood, enlists youth in a long term program to gain passion for and skills in the fine arts, and assists them in developing a portfolio for a professional career in the arts and/or to possibly qualify them to apply for higher education.

Thanks to everyone involved in this summer’s youth program “Lyrical Embodiment: The mural + the mixed-media sculpture + the video + the CD.” The mentors and teens all had a blast and the projects turned out phenomenal! Big thanks to 500 Capp Street and Ruth’s Table, all of our special guests and especially to the Foundation for Quality Housing Opportunities for their invaluable sponsorship. Already looking forward to the next project!

The Chimera DRAWING Bash! 👹 🦖 A Chimera by definition is an imaginary monster stitched together with different animal parts. A new edition to our free sketching classes at the heart of San Francisco UnionSquare.

One person draws the head and folds it out of sight, the other person continues the body without knowing what was drawn! Together, we create an abomination! 💥 A group activity with 2-4 people. Bring your friends or just yourself!
