This is a community for all of the Bay Jiu-Jitsu academies in the Bay Area. Our vision is to offer accessible and world class training to people of all ages, sizes, genders, and backgrounds in the multiple athletic programs offered. We serve not only athletes, but anybody looking to learn new skills, get in shape, have fun, and join our community. History
The Bay Jiu-Jitsu Academy was founded in 2

008 by Stephan Goyne and initially housed inside of K-One Fitness in San Francisco. Three years later, the academy got its own home with the opening of the first facility in Japantown SF in July of 2011. The academy grew in July of 2012 with the opening of the second facility in Oakland/Piedmont. The third addition to the academy was in July of 2013 with the opening of the Mission SF facility. In March 2016, Bay Jiu-Jitsu outgrew it’s original east bay location in Oakland/Piedmont, leading to the grand opening of our most recent facility in Berkeley, minutes from the University of California campus.

Just finished up our third summer camp! We had a Wild West theme this time with the “Battle of Hecktown” These little action sequences are a little souvenir of the techniques we practiced in the camp. In this short clip you can see:1. Duck under/go behind

3. Escaping side ride to guard
4. Heel grab sweep
5. Tree top single leg take down
6. Hip sweep
7. Technical mount to back
8. Back escape to guard
9. Triangle choke
