Ortho-Bionomy uses Osteopathic-based gentle body positions and movements to stimulate the self-correcting reflexes within the muscles and nerves. These responses can move the client out of pain and discomfort within 10-30 seconds. This method is very specific and structure oriented. It is easy for the practitioner and can be integrated into any massage or bodywork session.
‘Structure Governs Function’ is an Osteopathic principle that works with the understanding that when the muscular-skeletal system is balanced properly the functioning (blood, nerve, emotions, meridian) of the body will flow more efficiently.ORTHO-BIONOMY© / SUBTLE PHYSICAL & UNWINDING TECHNIQUES
Do you have clients who are not able to release a complicated tension pattern?
Are you hoping to find a way to work with clients that is easier on your body?
Do you want new multi-dimensional ways to work with subtle, deep, or entrenched patterns of tension?
Ortho-Bionomy Subtle Physical and Unwinding Techniques can offer the practitioner specific tools:
*To allow a further unwinding of a pattern in your clients
*To assist clients that are uncomfortable with deep pressure work
*To find a fuller embodiment experience for the client
*To work with less effort and get deeper releases
The Phase 5 Ortho-Bionomy / Subtle Physical & Unwinding Techniques class combines sensitivity training with subtle physical releases. You will learn to work with and follow the client’s self-correcting unwinding reflexes. The student learns to follow the client’s self-corrective reflexes. These releases are excellent for people experiencing deep pain, including highly sensitive people who cannot tolerate more vigorous work. This work bridges the body-mind connection and can be easily integrated into any bodywork session.
Specific areas of focus in the class will be:
*Neck
*Shoulders
*Ribs
*Arms
*Ears
*Lumbars
*Sacrum
