I apologize for not updating this page more. I've always been much better 1 on 1. My own particular neurodiversity.

I'm always happy to host new and established friends.

Set a good boundary.
If you teach these phrases to your kids, your friends, your parents. You can help them learn to protect their peace and teach them how and when you are protecting your own peace.

Of course you could always react aggressively and feel offended when they test out their boundaries with you. That will do an excellent job of encouraging or decimating their willingness to advocate for themselves again.

I'll say it because it needs to be said, this generation of music stars, rappers and the like were raised on the music of Eminem, Dre, Mac Dre, and every single other DJ or music artist who was smacked on pills or rapping about it. Every overdose, every su***de, I said what I said.

Now we have a generation who were hooked on Codeine syrup, after music jazzed it up, then it was Xanax, Ambien, then Percocet, Adderall, and Ecstacy now it's ALL killing people laced with fentanyl.

These young stars like Juice WRLD whose music was such a desperate cry for help before his untimely death through overdose. Our young people cry out for help with this but they get nowhere. They cry out about their mental health, but they get dismissed.

Youth and Young Adult mental health crises are real. Full Stop, they are happening and this is how our youth have been brought up to believe it is handled.

The new generation of music stars are bringing back alcoholism again. Post Malone has sobered up but his albums about drinking 30 beers a night will still be played by young people wanting to be like him.

That is what people are missing. These artists don't get old doing these drugs. They die young, they overdose, their talents and skills begin to evade them, their bodies go and though we all know what they're filling themselves with nothing else seems to fill that void.

Gun violence seems to be the direct alternative, or companion in some cases to serious drug abuse, or distribution. This is happening on a scale that you simply can't imagine if you don't work on a school campus or in a task force. It is insane. Utterly insane. But the numbers don't lie.

Car crashes used to be the top cause of death for children. Now, it's drugs and guns. A study found the rate of gun deaths among children and teens increased by 87% in the past decade, while drug-related deaths rose 133%.

I went to the Pain Specialist and saw this chart on the muscle origins of pain. They want to give me some trigger point injections in my lower back to treat my chronic pain.

The bone pain from rebuilding my spine for the 3rd time, the new hardware, the added level fused in. But you want to treat my muscles as the cause.

There are too many of us whose pain goes ignored. The face of chronic pain isn't misery, it isn't sitting in a corner crying.

This face holds its chronic pain in the smiles it shares because I refuse to focus on the pain. I refuse to suffer and miss out on everything because of pain or pain medications. If I have to hurt then I will hurt, but I am blessed to be upright and walking, yes it hurts.

It's exhausting, it's hard to put on my socks and shoes to go walking after I wake up but I do. It all hurts, but my options are what?

Not living? I refuse to accept that. Chronic pain from 4 back surgeries in 9 years has changed me and my life dramatically.
