SFSU Pre-Health Post Bac is hosting another pre-health workshop that guide students on finding meaningful clinical opportunities in healthcare. This is an important part of building up your experiences to create a well rounded application and develop personal growth.

This applies to all students including academic enhancers (AET) and career changers (CCT). However with AET students, health professional schools will want a higher GPA because your Post Bac GPA averages with your past science classes.

As the spring application closes, the summer and fall applications opens up! The summer and fall application window is long but we recommend that you start your application as early as possible.

We are proud to announce the 2024 recipients of the Dr. Abdullah Memorial Scholarship. These remarkable young women exemplify the excellence of the Pre-Health Professions Post-Baccalaureate Certificate Program: Noellee Candido, Arika Malik, Peipei Pan, and Sarai Parra.

Dr. Luna Abdallah, Director of the Pre-Health Professions Certificate Post-Bac Program at San Francisco State University, passed away in November 2022. Her bright presence and fierce advocacy for public education and social justice are sorely missed. Dr. Abdallah’s family and friends chose to honor her memory by setting up a scholarship fund in her name.

Congratulations to all the recipients!

General Biology is required for most health professional schools. This class provides foundational information for higher level biology classes like Cell Biology, Genetics, and Physiology.

SFSU Post Bac offers this class during the summer semester and is the best jumping off point for brand new career changer students.

We will be hosting two virtual student panel events in February with Career Changer and Academic Enhancer panelists! This is a great event for you to attend, meet and ask your questions directly to students that have matriculated into their graduate schools.
