On August 22–23, Your Big Year® On Location Pittsburgh will bring young people ages 15–20 from across the city and surrounding counties together in Downtown Pittsburgh for a free, hands-on career-readiness experience.
So, what happens at a Your Big Year® On Location event?
Alongside eating ice cream, young people build career-ready skills, meet new local peers and discover how they can use their strengths to make an impact. They then put those skills into practice by speed networking with professionals and exploring a live conference floor!

That’s what Aisha calls it.
She kept asking people for interviews. Some ignored her. Some said they were too busy.
Instead of stopping, she kept going.
Turns out, every “no” made the next conversation a little easier.
💬 What’s one thing you’d do if you weren’t afraid of rejection?
Everyone tells you to choose a career. Greg has different advice.
After realizing his first job wasn’t what he expected, he discovered that the people around him, not a job title, helped shape the direction of his career.
His advice to students is simple: find mentors, ask questions, and learn from people who’ve already walked the path you’re interested in. Those conversations can change your perspective long before you make your next big decision.
