We have 6 days left in our summer fundraiser. This year, Public Glass is collaborating with artists and educators to enhance our core curriculum, creating a new approach to glass education that merges art and STEM. Our innovative new curriculum will include alchemy and physics within glassmaking, engineering and innovation in sculptural processes, contemporary mold-making and casting processes, and emerging technologies shaping the future of the field. By investing in curriculum development, we can build historical knowledge and technical skills through hands-on experiences in our studio.

Your support helps turn this vision into meaningful educational programs for Bay Area creatives.

Donate today to open the door to glass.

For so many in our community, glass has had a profound impact on their lives. We’ve been asking our members to share their stories and what glass means to them, and the impact Public Glass has had on their journey.
For people like Don and so many others public glass plays a big role in their lives. Our community is made up of people of all backgrounds and stages of life coming together to learn about glassmaking and work together.

This summer, we’re raising $30,000 to strengthen our curriculum, expand advanced workshops, and fund scholarships so those opportunities stay open to everyone, regardless of income or background.
By investing in curriculum development today, we’re shaping the future of glass education tomorrow.

Make your own plates and coasters! In our 3-hour introductory fusing class you'll cut sheet glass and layer it with frit — crushed glass used to build color and pattern — to design a small dish that's entirely your own. Once your design is ready, it goes into the kiln to melt and fuse into one solid piece. Then it’s fired again to shape your glass over a ceramic mold. Plates, coasters, platters, soap dishes. Choose what you want to create. Sign up today through the link in our bio ✨🔥
