You’ve all been waiting patiently. We are excited to announce our demo artists for Hot Glass Cold B**r on October 3 are Bryan Goldenberg in the hotshot and Dan Wu in the flame shop.
About the artists:
Dan Wu (Stromboli Glass) is a lampworker based in the San Francisco Bay Area specializing in borosilicate pendants and sculpture. Drawing inspiration from pop culture, his work focuses on various characters from cartoons and video games. “My work focuses mainly on pendants and sculptures. I'm inspired by cartoons, video games, and pop culture — the characters we recognize from childhood. I like taking images we all recognize and translating them into something handmade.” - Dan Wu
Originally from St. Louis, Bryan moved to Oakland, CA and earned a BFA in glass concentration from California College of Arts & Crafts in 2002. During the course of his training, He toured the world exploring studios from Inferno Glass Studio in New Orleans, to Pilchuck Glass School in Seattle, to studios in Murano, Italy. Brian has Blown glass with widely renowned glass artists such as Dante Marioni, Lino Tagliapietra, Hank Adams, and Clifford Rainey.
In 2006, He designed and built Slow Burn Glass, a studio in Oakland, California where he created his work until July 2018. Slow Burn Glass then expanded into a 5000-square-foot facility in Richmond, CA. where Bryan has excelled in many forms and styles which feature clean lines and superior craftsmanship. Using His past experiences to influence these styles, brian has dedicated time to developing his own colors that transform into one-of-a-kind works of art.
