The first time I came to this lake, a Paiute elder told me it was ok to swim here.
The lake said no.
Not just lightly. But a big - noooooo.
This was my first lesson in reading energy and resonance. The lake was dramatically recovering and needing restoration.
Imagine seeing bright red flashing lights.
That was how this lake was speaking.
And yet I saw so many people in the water. Boats galore. But that’s not what you do as a healer.
You read the energy and see what the space needs.
It isn’t about you and your plans at a space like this.
There are so many spaces like that. Lake Tahoe is similar.
These are not just spaces for seeing beauty.
Each of these spaces hold an original function and purpose. They hold memories and records. Some of them can even be yours, possibly from past lives.
There are ways to learn how to walk in right relationship with nature. This is how we shift the climate dynamic we are living in.
It begins with a simple honoring that we are guests in these spaces.
