🎨 Since creativity is the language of children, engaging in the creative process can bring up deep material for them.​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​
🖌 Children are able to more authentically express themselves and their experiences through creative mediums.

💞 This can lead to an increased sense of vulnerability about sharing things that feel difficult and tender, but it also presents an opportunity to offer them an experience of having these deep parts of them be seen and acknowledged.

✨ To foster a sense of feeling seen, you might reflect back to your child in a nonjudgmental manner what you observe in the creative and collaborative process with them.

🌟 Your child may experience how fulfilling it is to be able to share these things with someone else, which deepens their connection with you because they are sharing from a deeper place!

🎨 Here, children can draw, paint, or write with YOU, the reader. The suggestion of empty space can be an invitation for any type of creation or collaboration.

💞 Why collaboration? In the collaborative space, a child can build a sense of connection with others and become more aware that one individual does not have to know everything; it can foster understanding that different people have different gifts to give!
