In Level 1 Anzan (1 Kyu mental calculation), students start doing bigger numbers in all three subjects. The time limit is 3 minutes, and students need to get 70% or higher in each subject to move on to Dan (Advanced degree)

Levels for Anzan start at 7 Kyu and go down to 1 Kyu. For Dan, it starts at 1 Dan and goes up.

🎉🎉 Congratulations to Dylan Wong who won first place (Gold) at the IAC in Portland, OR! He was able to calculate mentally six 5-7 digits numbers. He is able to see imaginary abacus beads in his head to come up with the correct number.

Dylan also won 2nd place overall in Comprehensive, Bronze in Oral Abacus, and 1st place in the team competition!
