Celebrating Coffee Excellence from Congo
Coffee cooperatives in the Democratic Republic of the Congo are determined to thrive despite the ongoing challenges in the region.
The Best of Congo Cooperatives event, taking place August 11â12 in Goma and New York City, highlights the resilience of Congolese producers and showcases the exceptional coffees they continue to produce.
The auction will feature specialty-grade microlots ranging from 5 to 25 bags, each with a unique profile and detailed traceabilityâincluding the exact location of the washing station. Special attention will be given to women- and youth-led initiatives and efforts promoting environmental sustainability.

- 8:00 AM - 9:00 AM: Kick off the day by mingling with fellow coffee and photography enthusiasts at Haven Coffee! Swap gear, share knowledge, and enjoy your favorite drinks. The first 50 customers will receive a free .chai beverageâdonât miss out!
- 9:00 AM - 10:30 AM: Embark on a photowalk through Covington, capturing the beauty of the community while honing your photography skills. Whether youâre a seasoned photographer or just snapping pics on your phone, all levels are welcome!
- 10:30 AM: Wrap up the morning back at Haven Coffee for âCoffee for All!â Dive into free coffee education presented by , where youâll learn specialty brewing methods you can try at home or bring to your shop. Perfect for all coffee lovers, regardless of experience.

From the classroom to the lab! â⨠Today was a journey of discovery and inspiration for our Coffee Camp students at Texas A&M! Watching them explore the cutting-edge coffee school and delve into the world of food science labs was nothing short of magical. Their excitement and curiosity were truly contagious, and we couldnât be prouder of their enthusiasm for learning. A huge thank you to for this amazing opportunity and for nurturing the next generation of coffee enthusiasts. This experience has left a lasting impression and deepened their passion for the art and science of coffee.

Today in Taylor, Texas we wrapped up another Coffee, Cameras and Community event and Coffee For All presented by as we rallied around local small businesses in Downtown Taylor.
We began our day connecting and enjoying the facility at before heading off on a photowalk on our way to .
Arcades, restaurants, book stores, coffee, clothing and more were available to the 33 photographers before heading to .strangers for drinks, food and our Coffee For All training event led by .
Our free coffee education event allowed the photographers and those regularly attending the shop to learn V60 pour over and cold brew methods.
The Color of Coffee stands alongside the âmom-n-popâ shops in every community as we believe their operation is both historic and vital in the pursuit of diversity, equity and inclusion amongst all people.

Yâall means all - and yâall are invited to our Taylor, TX this Saturday for another Coffee, Cameras and Community event!
This weekend, starting at 8:30a, we will be meeting at to discuss photography and community before heading out on our photowalk! Cell phones are welcome and all skill levels are encouraged to attend.
At 9:30a, we will walk the town as we travel to Old Taylor High School and through Historic Downtown Taylor!
We will finish our photowalk at 11:00a and head into .strangers where you can purchase a drink to cool off and be a part of our Coffee For All specialty coffee training presented by ! Whether youâre new to coffee or a working professional we will have opportunities for you to learn how to up your coffee game to the next level!
