Full circle. ⭕️

For years we’ve said it at colorofcoffeecollective - our Coffee Camps aren’t just about coffee. They’re about creating real, transformative opportunities for young people in underserved communities.

This weekend, we lived it.

For the first time ever, we got to HIRE and PAY two of our own Coffee Camp students to work a real event. Watching them step behind the bar, brew our signature 1866 Coffee, and serve customers with confidence... that feeling is indescribable.

This is what keeping a promise to our community looks like. Vision to reality.

Thank you to The Health Museum and all the incredible artists of The Fatherhood Effect gallery for trusting us with this moment. This powerful exhibit is part of the Museum’s Healing Arts Project and is running through February 2027 — go experience it!

At our Coffee For All event, we teamed up with our friends at to share the art of brewing coffee at home—from pour-over to French press and beyond.

We believe coffee education should be open to everyone—no gatekeeping, just shared knowledge and community building. Events like this spark curiosity, open doors, and create spaces of belonging.

At our Drink-making + Storytelling event, we got
hands-on, teaching product and environmental photography basics while exploring how a single beverage can carry a story, a culture, and a shared experience.

Celebrating Coffee Excellence from Congo

Coffee cooperatives in the Democratic Republic of the Congo are determined to thrive despite the ongoing challenges in the region.

The Best of Congo Cooperatives event, taking place August 11–12 in Goma and New York City, highlights the resilience of Congolese producers and showcases the exceptional coffees they continue to produce.

The auction will feature specialty-grade microlots ranging from 5 to 25 bags, each with a unique profile and detailed traceability—including the exact location of the washing station. Special attention will be given to women- and youth-led initiatives and efforts promoting environmental sustainability.

We’re proud to be one of 50 local organizations chosen to receive a Food and Climate Equity (FACE) Grant from the City of Austin Office of Sustainability and Office of Resilience.

“The FACE Grants program showcases our commitment to fostering grassroots solutions that address climate change and increase equity in our community,” said Zach Baumer, the City of Austin’s Chief Sustainability Officer.

With FACE Grant funding, we’ll be able to provide diverse youth in Austin with the opportunity to pursue their passions in coffee, and create a lasting impact on the global specialty coffee industry!
