California Daylighting Law 🚸 This new traffic safety law is designed to enhance visibility for pedestrians crossing the street and drivers approaching intersections. It prohibits stopping, standing or parking a vehicle within 20 feet of any crosswalk, whether marked or unmarked. By keeping these areas clear: 🚶🚶‍♀️Pedestrians can easily see oncoming traffic without having to look around parked vehicles and are more visible to drivers when crossing. 🚴🚴‍♀️Cyclists can navigate intersections more confidently without blind spots caused by parked cars. 🚙🚐Drivers have a better line of sight at intersections, allowing them to spot pedestrians or other road users before reaching the crossing.

El Camino Real Specific Plan Task Force Meeting

Please join the El Camino Real Task Force for a walkabout along the El Camino Real corridor. Enjoy the stroll (be sure to wear comfortable shoes and sunscreen) through the corridor by bringing a coffee, a writing surface with a pen or pencil, and comfortable shoes. Meet the group outside of Starbucks at 9 a.m. The walk will commence at 9:15 a.m. The itinerary, walking route and stop locations to pause and discuss some of the topics below is available on the Development Services Public Notices webpage. Discussion topics during the walk may include, and not be limited to:
Streetscape
Public Amenities
Building Orientation
Landscaping
Height
Utilities
Signage
Parking
