Consistency is better than intensity.

That was the download from my morning yoga class online with

How to damn true us that?

Now more than ever, it is not about going all in, running ourselves dry, and burning-out in the process.

No. We need to stay grounded, conserve our energy because of life right now... and the pandemic, and the current state of our politics.

Instead, it's about consistency. Showing up one little step at a time, but showing up.

Knowing that we will get far not by HOW MUCH we DO every day but by just showing every day.

Consistent and steady action. That's it.

What is one thing in your business or life you know you need to be more consistent with, no matter how much or little effort you can put in right now? Movement, meditation, connecting with your community, learning a new business skill?

Have you been thinking about creating an online offering?
Maybe you have been teaching yoga classes on Zoom, and now you're wondering how you can make this process more streamlined.
Or maybe you want to offer virtual trainings, workshops and retreats for your students.
Online courses and programs are THE THING right now.
And it's because it allows us to keep showing up for our people, in the midst of all of this craziness, while we are unable to resume our in-person offerings fully.
But as you think about going online, I want to challenge you to THINK BIGGER and more strategically about this.
Think about what you want to accomplish when creating an online offering.
Is it just an immediate fix, "a bandaid," to get you through the next few months?
Or do you want to do this "online thing" to grow your business and your community long-term?
In my latest blog post, I talk about one meaningful way to think bigger about going online. I talk about the benefits of creating a dedicated space - a hub online - a "Virtual Wellness Studio" so that you can serve your students in a more ✔️ creative, ✔️ effective, and ✔️ impactful way.
🧐 Curious if this is something you should be thinking about in your wellness biz? Check out the new ✨blog post✨ 👉🏼 link in BIO.
PS. I'd love to hear what online programs and classes you are creating, so share it with me - DM or comment below!❤️

“Going online" is such a big topic lately... and rightfully so (hello COVID😕)

I have been wanting to share more ideas and strategies with you about taking your yoga/wellness business online.

But to be honest. I just didn't want to sound like everyone else out there 👉🏼 tooting the online business horn left and right.😐

But I realize how important it is for yoga teachers and wellness professionals to understand the online business world.
👇🏼
Especially because it can be such a crucial tool to build more revenue resilience in your biz, it is a great tool to share your work with the world and create a more sustainable business long term.

✔️ I've been an online business owner for over six years now
✔️ I have many amazing clients of mine in the wellness world build their business and communities online

Over the years, I have tried my fair share of trendy online strategies and marketing tactics.

BUT.
👇🏼
Building a business online is not about the latest trends on social (we have Reels now, people 😂).

It's about creating a strong business foundation with a clear revenue strategy. It's about building an authentic community with real relationships and connections.

But all the IMPORTANT stuff gets lost in the ads we all see about how "easy and fast" you can build a business online.

So I want to share my perspective and advice on taking your business online, and ✨spoiler alert✨... it won't be about the latest shiny trend on social.

☞ Go to my BIO under LATEST BLOG POST to read about 4 really important things to consider when taking your business online. 💻

PS. I also share a⚡️free downloadable TECH RESOURCE⚡️ for those of you who need some help figuring out what tech tools and software to use online for your business. It's called: Tech Tools To Take Your Wellness Business Online (I'm a nerd when it comes to tech tools! 😜).

I'm taking a break from homeschooling today to FOCUS IN. Pen and paper style! 📝
Our school is doing distance learning due to the Pandemic. And at least for now, the reality is I'll have a million things pulling at me every day.
Doing it ALL is not easy. It's draining and exhausting, and it can kill your creativity. 😩
Getting our of the house a couple of days a week to do a "deep dive" into my projects and goals is going to be crucial moving forward.
I used to have five days a week to focus on my business while the kiddo was at school.
That is not the case now. Not while school is closed, and we parents have to assume the role of teachers at home.
So I've had to become more intentional about using the little time I have ALONE to really focus on what matters in my business.
I started going to a coworking space again, and it's been a game-changer. I'm also more conscious about scheduling and meticulously planning each day ahead. 📆
So here I am, doing the best I can during these 4 hours of solo time I have this afternoon.
Dreaming and plotting the next projects without stopping every ten minutes for Zoom troubleshooting, schedule-keeping, and snack prepping.
As a parent and business owner, this is life now. But we can only become better and stronger through the challenges we face. And how we decide to show up and rise above it is everything. ✨
If you're a parent juggling it all - kids meals, activities, homeschooling, building your business, or working full-time- I'm thinking of you. We will learn SO much from this time. That's all I know now. ❤️🌈

Will retreats have a big comeback??
We took a family road trip at the very beginning of summer, to shake off all of the quarantine cobwebs.
This photo was taken from the top of the most beautiful stretch of coast in California - Big Sur!
Big Sur is MY sacred place❤️. I have a special connection to this coast. Every time I go, I'm submerged with gratitude and awe. Our earth is beautiful - heart-expanding beautiful.
Traveling and visiting our scared and favorite places is so important. It's like unplugging from our everyday-autopilot-default-mode and plugging into our deepest selves, our truth.
Oh, how damn necessary this is right now, with all of what's going on around us. 😕
I have been asking myself lately. What's the future of travel? What's the future of retreats?
2020 is a year of big transformation, painful as it is.
And I see some changes happening in the retreat industry post-pandemic. I shared 6 "predictions" of what I think will happen in an email to my community yesterday. I think this could be the silver lining, at least I hope it is.
Here is goes:
When it's safe to retreat again, there will be an influx of eager travelers seeking the adventure, the next level experience, the community, and connection we have all been missing - because we NEED IT.
Retreat leaders will be challenged to meet this need -> and those who rise to the occasion and serve their retreaters in big and better ways will soar and THRIVE post-pandemic.
There will be a retreat industry (and travel industry) 2.0. I do hope this means an up-leveling on many fronts:
✨ higher quality retreat experiences
✨ more prepared and professional retreat leaders
✨ more diversity and inclusion in the wellness space
✨ more eco-minded and sustainable retreats
✨ stronger relationships between retreat hosts, venues, and vendors
So, YES, I do think retreats will have a comeback. ⚡️
.
Are you getting prepared and ready for this 2.0? Let me know what you are doing to get ready for your 2021 retreats.❤️
Ps. If you haven't joined my email list, DM me, and I'll add you - I have an exciting announcement next week to help you with all of this!
